Cement Equipment Operator
The Cement Equipment Operator operates and maintains equipment used in the cement job, performs vehicle or equipment inspections, maintains proper daily documentation of equipment, and performs rig up and rig down operations.
Responsibilities :
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the cement job (i.e., cement bulk equipment, field bins, and semi-trailers)
- Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (keep accurate driver's log, submit driver's log daily, accurately report mileage and fuel, and obey hours of service policies)
- Perform vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure proper fluid levels, functioning brakes, working lights, and safe tire condition
- Maintain proper daily documentation of equipment and report any defective equipment to proper personnel
- Perform rig up and rig down operations and operate equipment during job
- Assist with the housekeeping on location before, during, and after the job
- Conduct proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and organization policy
- Maintain compliance with HSE policies by attending required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Class A CDL, requiredHazmat endorsements, preferredMaintaining a current, valid driver's license and clean driving record, requiredAble to drive commercial trucks and other vehicles with a manual transmissionDemonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when requiredDemonstrate clear communication skills and the ability to interact with employees in the field and at all levels of the organizationAble promptly follow verbal and written directions in EnglishMust be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situationsMust be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shiftMust be able to safely operate and maintain assigned equipment during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be physically able to perform duties safely in all weather conditions including extreme heat and coldMust be physically able to safely lift 25 lbs. above head and up to 50 lbs. without assistanceMust be physically able to sit or stand on your feet for extended timePhysical Demands : The physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the role's essential functions.
