About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This position begins on Nov 17, 2025, and offers weekday shifts with flexible hours, including early morning and evening options. The assignment focuses on first assist duties in orthopedic surgery, primarily total joints and sports medicine, and provides an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dedicated surgical team.

Responsibilities and Duties
Serve as first assist for orthopedic surgeries, with a focus on total joint replacements and sports medicine casesPerform pre-operative and post-operative patient assessmentsAssist with intraoperative care and surgical proceduresCollaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomesProvide patient education regarding procedures and recovery expectationsMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationAdhere to all clinical protocols and safety standardsAdditional Information
Must have a valid North Carolina licenseAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredExperience in orthopedic surgery, specifically total joints and sports medicine, is highly preferredStrong communication and teamwork skills are essentialBenefits
