About The Position

General Anesthesiologist – Southern Colorado

$441K–$490K | Minimal Call | Full-Time | Visa Support (Pueblo Track Only)

Description

UCHealth is actively seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Anesthesiologist to join its expanding physician-led team in Southern Colorado . This role offers two distinct practice tracks, including a Pueblo-based option with minimal call requirements , flexibility in scheduling, and strong support from nocturnist coverage.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver anesthesia services across multiple care settings including Level 1–3 trauma centers and outpatient surgical centers

Mix of independent and supervisory anesthesia care , ensuring variety and autonomy in practice

Manage a wide range of cases including :

Trauma (high acuity), OB, general surgery, ortho, ENT, vascular, thoracic, GI, gynecology, urology, major spine surgeries

Emphasize and perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks to improve patient outcomes

Participate in mentorship and leadership opportunities (teaching roles optional)

Collaborate with a supportive team in a physician-led organization focused on innovation and quality care

Limited call requirements (Pueblo Track) : home call with a 45-minute response time, supported by nocturnists

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 5 years of residency) – Required

Colorado medical license or willingness to obtain – Required

DEA license – Required (must be obtained prior to start)

Clean malpractice history – Preferred

Open to J-1 and H-1B visa candidates (Pueblo track only)

Working Hours

Full-time position with flexible hours

Minimal weekday and weekend call (Pueblo track), home-based with 45-minute callback

On-site nocturnist support for better work-life balance

Skills

Clinical expertise in general anesthesia across various subspecialties

Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Interest in mentorship or leadership a plus (but not required)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range : $441,000 – $490,000 annually

Quality and / or productivity bonuses may be offered

$50,000 sign-on bonus (if applicable; to be confirmed)
