About The Position

A facility outside of Boston, MA is actively interviewing Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for their open urgent care opportunity. You will be responsible for delivering prompt, high-quality medical care for patients presenting with acute, non-life-threatening conditions. This role involves independently assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of urgent medical issues, while ensuring appropriate referral to higher levels of care when necessary. Key clinical duties include laceration repair using sutures, staples, or topical skin adhesives; performing incision and drainage of abscesses; conducting wedge resections for ingrown toenails; and removing foreign bodies within the scope of urgent care practice. The provider will oversee the administration of intravenous medications and therapies, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness. Additionally, the role includes managing and supervising the splinting of fractures and musculoskeletal injuries to stabilize patients.
