North Carolina Licensed Claims Representative

A company is looking for an Inside Claims Representative I.

Key Responsibilities

Investigates and adjudicates claims, ensuring compliance with statutory laws and verifying coverage

Establishes contact with all parties involved in the claim and evaluates and negotiates claims

Maintains knowledge of liability laws and provides support for property claims during high volume periods

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience

Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred

Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred

Must obtain appropriate licenses as required by state within 45 days of employment for external applicants

Knowledge of motor vehicle codes and no fault / medical management laws preferred
