Job Description :

As a Supplier Quality Manager Level 1, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of materials and components supplied to our organization. You will work closely with senior management, procurement, and engineering teams to evaluate and monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This entry-level management position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in quality assurance and a desire to grow in the field of supplier quality management.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain (GSC), Engineering and Manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance tests; perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards.
• Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
• Manage and assess supplier performance using key metrics, including defect rates, and compliance with specifications.
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and production teams to communicate quality requirements and ensure that supplier materials meet the necessary standards.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier audits, quality reports, and related documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier quality and reducing costs.
• Assist in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers based on quality standards, including conducting initial assessments and audits.
• Support the planning and execution of supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelors degree in engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, supplier quality, or a related field. Internship or co-op experience in supplier quality management is also acceptable.

Skills : Basic understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and supplier quality processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, CAPA, and statistical process control (SPC). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications : ASQ Certification, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or similar certifications are a plus.

Industry Experience : Experience in Aerospace or manufacturing is advantageous.

Technical Skills : Basic knowledge of supplier processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques relevant to the industry.

Salary Range : $90,300 - $135,500
