NICU RN Job Details – Austin, TX Location : Austin, Texas 78705 – Downtown Austin healthcare jobs in a thriving city Facility : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), 65 beds Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 On-Call : Required Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per schedule Start Date : October 22, 2025 End Date : January 21, 2026 Scrub Color : Navy Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470-$1570 NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Texas or compact state) Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required Level 4 NICU experience preferred Proficiency with Meditech and CPN EMR systems Strong teamwork, adaptability, and clinical skills Positive attitude and ability to excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment NICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care in a 65-bed NICU Operate advanced NICU equipment : isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, breast pumps Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (charge nurses, transport nurses, respiratory therapists, unit assistants) Manage patient ratios from 1 : 1 to 4 : 1 Participate in scheduled on-call and weekend rotations Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech and CPN Comply with NICU unit policies and healthcare guidelines Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
