Software Engineer

The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.

• Specifically :
• Develop and deploy custom database and client endpoint software for manufacturing data management
• Gather requirements to understand end user workflow to define and implement user-friendly application interfaces
• Participate in code reviews to provide critical feedback to other developers on the project
• Ensure all submitted software is understandable, well documented, and maintainable
• Ensure the solution adequately meets the project requirements
• Follow Avo software development guidelines, including PEP-8 naming convention, PEP-257 docstring convention, and Sphinx API-style documentation
• Contribute to DevOps tasks including application containerization, implementation of a CI / CD flow, and release testing automation for the application
• Support the manufacturing team as production issues are encountered. Respond promptly when asked for help. Escalate issues as needed
• Embrace a mindset of continual improvement; identify Avo business needs and strive to better our company through your contributions
• Collaborate with other team members and contribute to an overall positive work atmosphere
• Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
• 3 years experience in software development
• Proficiency in Python, MongoDB, and React
• Strong understanding of software development methods and practices
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and analytical skills
• Able to communicate in written and spoken English
