Job description

Overview

Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst multiple openings at Vitu. 100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance duties and provide testing expertise, guidance and oversight.
  • Drive test strategy conversations and define individual test cases, integrated end-to-end testing scenarios and validation criteria.
  • Analyze user stories and technical requirements for validity and technical soundness.
  • Ensure system and software quality by writing, maintaining, running, and analyzing unit, functional, integrated, regression, automated, exploratory, and performance tests.
  • Analyze and synthesize actual results vs. expected results, troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing unintended results, and log errors to investigate causes.
  • Communicate test results to stakeholders and support user acceptance testing as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to less experienced QA analysts.
  • Troubleshoot problems, prioritize, and coordinate fixes to be tested and closed; stay updated on new testing technologies and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a Masters or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering and two years of experience as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst or substantially similar position. Alternatively, must have a Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering and five years of experience as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst or substantially similar position.

Special Skills Required

  • Managing the strategy, design, and execution of business process tests and usability evaluations.
  • Providing technical guidance to feature developers or automation engineers to build tools and infrastructure to ensure production code is thoroughly tested to high standards.
  • Providing technical guidance and functional management to less experienced software test engineers.
  • Using software testing tools and processes, testing frameworks, consumer-facing applications and databases.
  • Utilizing Page Object Model and Git; integrating with Jenkins and GitHub Actions (GHA).
  • Using regulatory standards testing processes; creating and maintaining test scripts in an automated testing framework.
  • Utilizing JavaScript programming language; delivering software products in an engineering and operations environment.
  • Utilizing Agile development lifecycle methodologies; object-oriented programming and Scrum.

    • Compensation and Work Conditions

    Salary : $132,912.00 - $154,800 per year

    Work Hours : 9 AM to 6 PM
