Overview :

This is the Clinical Educator position for the Med Surg 7 unit. The Educator oversees onboarding and ongoing education for department nurses and UAPs. The Educator collaborates with unit and service line leaders to contribute to department operations. Additional collaboration is expected with other hospital educators, and caregivers in other departments and facilities. Job duties include quality monitoring, process improvement, committee participation, regulatory survey readiness, preceptor preparedness, and teaching content and classes. The educator reports to the Director of Nursing Excellence but has responsibility for Med Surg 7, which includes stroke care and telemetry monitoring.

Qualifications :

• Experience : If Bachelor's degree has been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If Associates degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10 years hospital nursing experience or 5 years' hospital nursing experience if active enrollment in a RN to BSN program.
• Required Education : Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Preferred Education :   BSN or MSN
• Certifications : BLS through the American Heart Association
