Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Audit Senior Accountant to join our team in Miamisburg, OH. As an Audit Senior Accountant, you will lead client engagements, mentor junior staff, and collaborate directly with clients to solve complex financial challenges. You will manage audits, reviews, and compilations; analyze financial data; ensure compliance with GAAP and GAAS; and play a key role in strengthening client relationships and enhancing team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Assurance Services
- Lead and execute audits, reviews, and compilations
- Plan and perform fieldwork in accordance with GAAP and GAAS
- Analyze financial statements and supporting documents
- Prepare and review workpapers and engagement deliverables
- Communicate proactively with clients to resolve issues and provide insights
Process Improvement & Firm Involvement
Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverablesIdentify process improvements to enhance efficiencyContribute to firm initiatives, including recruiting and strategic projectsStay current on emerging accounting and assurance standardsTeam Leadership & Development
Supervise and mentor staff and interns during client engagementsDeliver constructive feedback and on-the-job trainingFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environmentRequirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field3+ years of audit experience in public accountingSolid understanding of GAAP and professional auditing standardsCPA license or significant progress toward certificationAdvanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office productsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple client engagementsExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Not-for-profit and employee benefit plans (EBP) auditing experienceFamiliarity with CaseWare / CaseView and CCH Fixed AssetsProject management or strategic planning capabilitiesWork Environment & Expectations
