American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with Indiana or compact licensure and recent Level I trauma experience for a night shift position.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Operating Room within a short-term acute care hospitalSpecialties include general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro and ortho, GU, colorectal, and robotics casesAverage daily surgical census is 70-80 cases with 21 operating roomsNight shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week (21 : 00 to 07 : 30)Candidate will be required to take six on-call shifts in a six-week period with varying daysFloating is required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as neededCharting is done using Cerner EMRResponsibilities include circulating on a wide of surgical cases and floating to other surgical areas as neededCandidates are expected to work at least two out of three major holidays during assignmentFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionLocals are accepted, but Indiana state residents are considered local and subject to local rate rulesScrub attire is provided by the facilityNo block scheduling available for this roleFree parking is available on siteAll hospital required modules must be completed pre-start online\n \n Requirements\n
Active IN or compact RN license must be in hand at time of considerationCurrent BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)Minimum of 18 months to 2 years OR RN experience, including Level I trauma experience within the past yearExperience circulating in the operating room is required; scrub experience preferredGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing programOR RNs must be well-rounded in most specialties except CV and transplantTwo supervisor references are required for considerationPERM or PRN employees of IU must be separated for 12 months before applying\n Benefits\n
