Low Voltage Lead Technician

Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled
- AV Technician
- to join our installation and service team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on work of installing, wiring, and servicing advanced AV and low-voltage systems. From new project builds to long-term client support, you’ll play an essential role in delivering the quality and precision our clients expect.
- Responsibilities
- Install AV hardware including displays, projectors, speakers, control devices, and equipment racks.
- Build and wire equipment racks according to system plans and best practices.
- Run, connect, and test all low-voltage cabling for AV and control systems.
- Assist with system startup, testing, and final commissioning.
- Provide on-site service and troubleshooting for clients as needed.
- Read and interpret AV system schematics, blueprints, and design documents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Mentor and direct apprentices and junior technicians on best practices.
- Coordinate with project managers, builders, architects, and designers to ensure seamless integration of technology with the overall project vision.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and service calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and system programming records.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction during and after project completion.
- Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong understanding of low voltage wiring, AV systems, and control integration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to direct small teams.
- Comfortable working in high-end residential construction environments.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Lutron programming certification(s) and Savant Essentials experience.
- Familiarity with other control systems (Crestron, Control4, etc.) a plus.
