Engineer - (Kitchen)

Overview

It is the primary responsibility of the Engineer to perform preventive and ongoing maintenance of the hotel, casino, back of house, and retail areas within the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Job Focus

• Engineers must be proficient and versatile in three or more building trades : electrical (low and medium voltages), painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC&R, commercial kitchen equipment, commercial swimming pools, and general mechanics.
• Receives and responds to maintenance calls within the hotel and casino from guests and other departments.
• Maintains and or repairs drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC&R, electrical, kitchen equipment, commercial swimming pools, fan coils units, VAVs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, boilers, cooling towers and energy management systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical / electrical equipment ranging from heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical systems, motor controls, lighting dimming systems and UPS systems.
• Responds to Fire life safety system alarm notifications.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Maintains a property wide clean and safe work area.
• Relocates table games, slot machines according to floor layout and surveillance requirements.
• Handles guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Completes additional duties / tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Reports to the Director of Engineering.
