Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic

STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Vernon, New Jersey. This is mission driven work where your skill directly supports life saving operations every single day. You will work on a high performance fleet, troubleshoot complex issues, and keep aircraft mission ready at a moment’s notice. Responsibilities Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection needs to ensure aircraft airworthiness. Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual conditions that affect schedules aircraft availability manpower or technical support. Oversee maintenance of assigned aircraft at field bases including monitoring stock levels and requesting necessary parts. Maintain safety and security of all company assets at field locations. Prepare and certify maintenance documentation aircraft logs inspection forms and reports in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. Complete entries in maintenance software systems including work packages removals installations and aircraft status updates. Maintain regular communication with the Lead Mechanic and other operational personnel to ensure timely task completion. Manage parts inventory and recommend adjustments when necessary. Maintain and track calibration of company issued tools. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma required. FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic. Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency. Ability to pass a physical exam functional capacity assessment lifting up to 100 lbs drug screening and background check. Additional Requirements for Roving Maintenance Technicians Sheet metal repair and or avionics troubleshooting experience. Ability to travel frequently including with short notice. Ability to work night shifts based on maintenance needs.
