SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT
Venture capital firm is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to assist with tax services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills in conjunction with strong analytical and technical abilities. Must be detail-oriented, highly accurate, and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
The finance group, which provides support to the venture capital firm and the families associated with its managing directors, currently has twenty-two people including the Chief Financial Officer and six directors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing income tax returns for various individual, partnership and fiduciary returns for the family office
- Planning for and preparing quarterly income tax estimates and annual extensions for individual, partnership and fiduciary returns for the family office
- Researching tax related issues
- Responding to tax notices
- Assisting Tax managers with special projects on an as-needed basis
Qualifications
Four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or economics required; CPA a plusAt a minimum, 4 years of experience preparing individual tax returns; ideal candidates will have some experience working with ultra-high net worth clients and will have prepared investment partnership and fiduciary tax returnsProficiency using CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx Tax, CCH Workpaper Manager, and BNA Income Tax Planner a plusCompetency with Adobe and MS Office products, especially ExcelExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational, analytical and technical abilitiesDetail-orientedHighly motivated; a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environmentKnowledgeable about the venture capital industry and investments a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
