Summary :
We have an exciting opportunity in our Human Resources Department for a Talent Acquisition Manager. The Talent Acquisition Manager leads recruitment strategies and execution across the organization, ensuring that Sara Lee Frozen Bakery attracts, selects, and retains top talent aligned with our business objectives and values. This role combines hands-on recruitment with strategic contributions to talent engagement, development, and culture enhancement initiatives, supporting a thriving and high-performing organization and dedicated workforce.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus - ~75%)
- Develop and execute a proactive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business goals and workforce plans.
- Partner with hiring managers and leaders to understand talent needs, ensuring timely and effective hiring outcomes.
- Manage full lifecycle recruitment for all corporate and professional level roles in the bakeries.
- Utilize data and analytics to make decisions and recommendations on recruitment strategies, sharing and consulting with hiring managers as appropriate.
- Manage sourcing for professional level talent and provide leads and connections for frontline level talent acquisition and retention strategies in our bakeries.
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards , and industry-specific platforms to identify, engage, and attract qualified candidates.
- Manage all aspects of pre-employment screening to ensure compliance and high-quality hiring decisions, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, and training on the company’s policies.
- Develop and conduct training programs on interview and hiring best practices for hiring managers.
- Oversee and conduct exit interviews to identify trends and provide actionable insights for improving retention and engagement.
- Oversee the company’s ATS / HRIS system (ADP) to ensure accurate tracking of candidates and compliance with hiring regulations.
- Manage third party agency relationships in support of talent attraction and sourcing strategies. Establish guidelines for partnerships to include temporary staffing partnerships.
- Remain abreast with industry trends, insights and events to attract top talent at all levels.
- In partnership with the HR team, produce talent acquisition metrics and track KPIs in support of the business.
Talent Development, Engagement and Culture (~25%)
Partner with HR and functional leaders to identify development opportunities and succession pipelines. Foster and promote a culture of growth and development.Support early career and leadership development initiatives, such as internships, apprenticeships, or internal mobility programs.Lead cultural orientation and organizational onboarding for all Corporate new hires.Contribute to onboarding enhancements across the company to ensure seamless integration and engagement for all new hires.Assist in creating employee engagement and retention programs that strengthen employee connection to company values and goals.Support recognition, wellbeing, and communication programs which enhance the employee experience.Collaborate with HR and cross-functional partners on culture initiatives that promote inclusion, collaboration, and growth.The position responsibilities outlined above are not to be construed as all encompassing. Knowledge and Skill Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or related field.5+ years progressive experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, with preferred experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or related industries.Proven experience using LinkedIn Recruiter for talent sourcing, pipeline management, and candidate engagement. Working knowledge of LinkedIn Learning as a professional development and employee upskilling tool.Familiarity with ADP or similar HRIS / ATS platforms for tracking applicants and managing onboarding processes.Experience leveraging major job boards (e.g., Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Careers in Food, etc.) to post roles and attract qualified candidates.Ability to use data from sourcing platforms and HR systems to analyze recruitment effectiveness.Strong understanding of compliance, food industry hiring challenges, and workforce planning.Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.Ability to multitask and manage partnerships with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. hiring managers, vendors, HR team members) to ensure that key deliverables are met.Sara Lee Frozen Bakery provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
