Job descriptionWork 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12 schedule) Night shifts with weekday schedule and every other weekend required Holiday coverage within contract required Must float to Stepdown Unit and may float to ED / MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held Patient ratios of 1 : 2-3 Strong neuro experience required including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke care Skills include ventilator management, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, and dysrhythmia / emergency management Required certifications : BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS Must be Epic proficient with no exceptions 3 years critical care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience) Travel experience preferred Virginia or Compact license required in hand at time of submittal EKG testing required with 80% passing score, one attempt only 3 hours of pre-start modules required Must pass fit testing (facility cannot accommodate PAPR) No license or background hits accepted Must reside more than 50 miles from facility Referral bonus
