Position Summary :
The Missouri History Museum is seeking candidates to join a team that will undertake a move of the Objects Collection in preparation for the installation of compact shelving within three object storerooms. The primary goal of this project is to ensure that the collection of over 80,000 objects are safely moved to a temporary location within the current storage facility while recording reliable location information into Mimsy XG, the museum's collections management database. After construction is completed within each storeroom the objects will be moved back and given a new permanent location. The move team will work under the supervision of the Collections Manager and Objects Preservation Administrator.
This position is temporary and project-based with an anticipated end date of March 2027 with possibility for extension.
