Painter

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in residential and commercial painting projects. Our work includes both new construction and existing buildings, with a focus on interior walls and some exterior painting. Projects are located within a 40-mile radius of Milwaukee, and tasks include using brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply paint coatings to various facilities.

Responsibilities

Perform painting functions for industrial and commercial clients. Specialize in both new construction and existing building projects. Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply paint coatings. Execute airless spraying, brush and rolling techniques, including cutting in without tape. Utilize HPLV Airless Sprayers on large industrial projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming. Ensure smooth, even finishes with keen attention to detail. Comply with safety procedures and use protective gear properly. Read and interpret blueprints or specifications. Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Work on ladders, scaffolding, or in tight spaces, requiring physical stamina and dexterity. Coordinate with clients and other contractors using good communication skills. Solve problems and adapt to unexpected challenges on the job.

Essential Skills

3+ years of painting experience. 1+ year of commercial painting experience. Expert knowledge of painting techniques and materials. Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints or specifications. Strong understanding of safety procedures and proper use of protective gear. Effective time management skills. Physical stamina and dexterity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with multi-family buildings. Experience with office environments. Ability to solve problems and adapt to unexpected challenges. Good communication skills for client and contractor coordination.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
