Job description

Physiatry / Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician at ProTouch Staffing summary :

The position requires a Board Certified physician in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) to perform ongoing PRN C&P exams for veterans. Responsibilities include conducting interview-based assessments and physical evaluations without prescribing or treatment. The role offers flexible work options with competitive compensation for half and full days in Fayetteville, NC.

  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties : Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • Fayetteville, NC - per diem available - Must be within 50 miles

PRN as needed.

1099 compensation :

  • $750 for half day (4 hours)
  • $1600 for full day (8 hours)
  • $650 for completing all required training and starting assignment

    • Details :

  • Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties : Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
  • Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and / or schedule Veterans within your own practice
  • Option to work days(4-hours) and / or full days(8-hours)
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
  • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment : range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • No prescribing, no treatment
  • Quick credentialing & onboarding
  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
  • Use of Goniometer required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
  • Training shall be provided for all Reporting / Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)

    • The provider will need to complete their DMA training
