Janitorial Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

Janitorial Supervisors oversee and coordinate the work of janitorial staff to ensure a clean and orderly environment in buildings.

They also handle administrative tasks and may conduct training for new staff.

The duties and responsibilities of a Janitorial Supervisor include :

• Directing and supervising the cleaning maintenance and repair activities of janitorial staff
• Inspecting work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards
• Training staff on proper cleaning techniques safety procedures and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Creating and maintaining cleaning schedules and routines
• Ordering and maintaining an inventory of janitorial supplies and equipment
• Handling and resolving complaints or issues regarding janitorial services
• Recruiting interviewing and hiring new janitorial staff
• Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to janitorial staff
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintaining records of janitorial services performed and preparing reports for management
