ER RN Job Details – Chicago Healthcare Contract Location : Chicago, IL 60615 (Illinois nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Emergency Room (ER) Contract Duration : 13 weeks Start Date : November 25, 2025 End Date : February 24, 2026 Nursing Shift : Mid shift, 3x12-hour shifts / week (15 : 00 - 03 : 30), every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract On-Site Position Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1910 - $1960 RTO (Requested Time Off) Policy Maximum of 5 days off allowed during the contract No more than 2 consecutive days off at a time Requested time off is not permitted on weekends or holidays Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (required for Chicago healthcare jobs) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an Emergency Department ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred NIHSS certification COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions allowed for flu vaccine) Proficiency with electronic charting systems Ability to float to other hospital units within 50 miles at facility discretion Strong compliance and responsiveness to deadlines Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room Perform triage, assessment, and management of acute and emergent medical conditions Administer and monitor procedural sedation Manage arterial and central lines, CPAP / BiPAP, and ventilated patients Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias Administer IV vasopressors and manage dysrhythmias Implement isolation precautions and uphold infection control standards Float to other units as needed, utilizing a team-based nursing model Maintain accurate documentation and participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams Apply now to join our Chicago emergency room nursing team and take the next step in your healthcare career!
