Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a TX or compact license and three years of recent L&D experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (7p-7a), totaling 36 hours per week
  • Care for obstetric patients with a 1 : 2 patient ratio
  • Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
  • Use of Epic EMR is preferred
  • Royal blue or navy scrubs required
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced L&D environment
  • Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for laboring patients
  • Must be able to accurately communicate patient status and adapt plan of care as needed
  • Returning employees may require additional eligibility verification
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced within last 2 years
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season with no exemptions accepted
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local travelers are not accepted
