Position Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses plans, administers, and evaluates patients receiving all respiratory care modalities as ordered by a physician or as delineated by Medical Center protocols. Actively participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of quality patient care. Provides emergency, critical care and general care respiratory services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Core Responsibilities

Acts as a patient advocate and upholds patient rights

Assures all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and / or documenting care

Documents in a clear and legible manner

Accurately documents verbal orders with read back

Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care

Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing care

Minimum Requirements

NJ Respiratory License, RRT or CRT

BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Knowledge of electronic medical records and medical terminology

Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull

Salary Range - $38.97 - $49.96 hourly (Based on experience)
