Real Estate Manager
The Real Estate Manager is responsible for preparing documents for sale based on the direction of the court and to ensure the documentation of cases is processed correctly. This position is also responsible for collecting and recording monies received from the sales.
This position requires a criminal background check.
Essential Duties
- Assign sale numbers and label files for each sale.
- Enter all information for each case into computer.
- Type up affidavits for regular or certified mail.
- Type up forms for notice to Harrisburg, advertisements and newspapers.
- Create graphic arts for handbills and Chester County Law Reporter.
- Prepare cost sheets for each sale (will list all expenses from escrow accounts and sale itself).
- Upon completion of sale, mark each service, mail return to attorney and file copy.
- Prepare returns of service to the Prothonotary.
- Prepare type of sale lists.
- Prepare necessary file information and letters (writ, continuance, court order, etc.).
- Update and maintain all files on items for sheriff's sale.
- After completion of sale, all paperwork must be updated and filed.
- Receive sale packets and write receipts for monies received.
- Remove old handbills from office wall and mark with sold price.
- Fax information to title company.
- Send deeds to Solicitor to be prepared with affidavit of realty transfer.
- Work up cost to give to bookkeeper to write checks for disbursements.
- Upon return of deeds date, obtain Sheriff's signature, file in Prothonotary and record in Recorder of Deeds Office.
- Answer phones and handle questions from the public, attorneys, real estate brokers, title companies, homeowners, etc.
- Attend training, meetings, conferences and seminars, as necessary.
- Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
- Handle Sheriff's Office online and in person auction.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements :
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).At least three years of job-related experience.Working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedures.Working knowledge of legal terms.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.Typing and phone skills.Customer service skills.Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience :

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee will need to reach or work with arms above shoulders; bend at the waist; kneel, stoop, crouch or squat; and climb stairs. On rare occasions, the employee will need to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds for a distance of up to 40 feet.
