Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a reliable and experienced IT Support Technician – Tier 2 to join our expanding IT team. This hands-on role involves providing technical support, deploying and configuring IT equipment, and maintaining the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure across multiple sites.
The position requires onsite work at both our Pompano Beach and Lake Worth, FL offices, with travel to other South Florida facilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite Tier 2 support for escalated tickets, ensuring clear and professional communication with end-users.
- Travel between facilities in South Florida to deploy, maintain, and replace IT equipment.
- Handle hardware setup, distribution, and lifecycle management of devices including laptops, iPhones, tablets, and peripherals.
- Assist the senior staff in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting networking infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, cabling).
- Support the programming and management of firewalls under the guidance of senior staff, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal IT staff to resolve technical issues.
- Document processes, solutions, and technical guides for the knowledge base.
- Assist the VP of IT in planning and executing IT initiatives, including system upgrades, automation, and AI-based tools.
- Serve as a versatile and dependable team member, ready to take on a wide variety of IT tasks as required by the VP of IT, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of IT support experience, with proven Tier 2 troubleshooting capabilities.Exposure to networking infrastructure (switches, firewalls, routers, structured cabling) with some hands-on experience in support or basic configuration tasks.Experience with hardware setup, imaging, and deployment of end-user devices (Windows, macOS, iOS).Familiarity with ticketing systems and ability to communicate effectively with end-users.Basic understanding of firewall configuration and management with the ability to assist senior staff as needed.Skills
Solid understanding of Windows environments.Excellent problem-solving skills with strong customer service focus.Knowledge of virtualization, cloud services, and endpoint management is a plus.Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in IT operations is preferred.Abilities
