Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Vantage Point Behavioral Health Hospital, Fayetteville, AR
Vantage Point has served as the region’s only full‑service mental health facility for over 35 years, offering a continuum of psychiatric and behavioral health services for children, adults, and seniors.
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the senior leadership team and drive the financial and functional success of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, identify and correct variances.
- Prepare corporate required reports such as Monthly Operating Report Monthly Corporate Disclosures, Forecasts, etc.
- Maintain accounting and business office policies, internal controls, and approval processes to support clean audits.
- Direct Revenue Cycle operations : collect accounts receivable, manage uncompensated care, pursue cash collections, reduce bad debt and denials.
- Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes : insurance verification, patient portion determination, discount / charity approval, upfront collection logging.
- Maintain knowledge of reimbursement methodologies; prepare cost reports.
- Supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting, H.I.M., Materials Management and other assigned departments; ensure proper staffing and training.
- Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing contracts and purchase monitoring.
- Prepare annual operating budget, participate in strategic planning, analyze variances, and assist CEO in implementing adjustments.
- Prepare capital budgets and equipment requests; record depreciation accurately.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business‑related field.
Minimum 3 years CFO experience in a healthcare setting.Business healthcare experience preferred, especially behavioral health.Experience with proprietary healthcare system desirable.CPA or Master’s degree a plus.Proven financial analysis, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.Strong communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence.Proficient with Excel, Word, and information technology systems.Benefits
