Commercial Counsel (Remote)

Experian is looking for a commercial transaction attorney with several years of experience working with complex agreements for clients to join our high-growth Employer Services division. Youll negotiate contracts directly with Experians business clients requiring in-depth work with and understanding of agreements for a variety of products and services with an emphasis on employer services including verifications unemployment claims and tax credits and incentives. Agreements may include professional services agreements RFPs RFQs NDAs evaluation agreements standard terms and conditions remediation amendments service level agreements and master services agreements. The right attorney for this position values customer service sincerely wants to help where needed is a collaborative team member and enjoys working directly with clients teammates and salespeople at all levels.

What youll do

• As a negotiator and business partner you will find creative solutions that meet both Experians and its clients business and compliance needs and ensure that contracts comply with Experian policies and business practices and regulatory requirements.
• Youll coordinate with different team members and subject matter experts in multiple roles including information security internal and regulatory compliance sales product marketing corporate legal and finance to help bring transactions to successful completion within the required time frame.
• You will also maintain and enforce contracting policies which will involve obtaining and documenting approvals for non-standard terms and pricing assisting sales teams with ongoing administration of client contracts advising management on contractual terms and risks and providing training to sales and other departments on contract issues and negotiation strategies.
• Use your judgment to make decisions quickly to facilitate deal execution while minimizing risk to Experians interests.

You will report to the Commercial Contracts Counsel Director.
