Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Tennessee RN license or multistate compact nursing license

At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Proficient in triage, medication administration, IVs, and stroke / sepsis protocols

Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department

Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure safe nursing care

Maintain nursing competencies through ongoing education

Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience

Supervise and guide assigned healthcare personnel

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and Tennessee Nurse Practice Act guidelines
