Be the difference.\n\nJob Summary\n\nAs a registered nurse in our acute inpatient setting, you will provide essential clinical direction for all aspects of patient care with a focus on patient and family-centered approaches. You will demonstrate your clinical expertise through the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes—while adhering to safety protocols and promoting quality improvement.\n\nYour role involves assessing and recognizing changes in patients' conditions, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. You will ensure compliance with organizational policies and stay current with regulatory requirements.\n\nThe acute inpatient setting demands flexibility with shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.   • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and document patient data accurately.\n
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to create a tailored plan of care.\n
  • Continuously update care plans based on patient condition changes and communicate these updates effectively.\n
  • Respect patients' cultural, spiritual, and personal beliefs in care planning.\n
  • Prepare discharge plans to ensure seamless transitions for patients post-discharge.\n
  • Provide direct patient care in alignment with the established nursing plan and organizational protocols.\n
  • Delegate nursing tasks appropriately within the healthcare team and ensure their completion.\n
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and care quality through ongoing monitoring.\n
  • Utilize performance improvement indicators to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.\n
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans as needed.\n
  • Identify learning needs for patients and families; provide education tailored to their understanding.\n
  • Act as a patient advocate and care coordinator in collaboration with other healthcare team members.\n
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to overall team effectiveness.\n\nSupervisory / Management Responsibility\n
  • This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n
  • Education : Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.\n
  • Experience : Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.\n\nIn Lieu Of\n
  • Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or equivalent may substitute for one (1) year of RN experience.\n
  • One year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience may be accepted for internal candidates within the same service line.\n
  • A nursing diploma may replace the Associate degree in nursing provided you hold the necessary RN licensure.\n\nRequired Certifications, Registrations, Licenses\n
  • A current RN compact / multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or a valid RN license for the state of practice.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n
