Business Unit Director, Pediatric Portfolio

Position Overview

The Business Unit Director, Pediatric Portfolio, will lead the strategic direction, performance, and growth of Kate Farms' Pediatric Portfolio. This role will oversee brand strategy, commercialization, and cross-functional execution across medical, eCommerce, Amazon, and retail channels. The Director will manage a brand management team driving alignment across marketing, sales, and operations to deliver revenue growth and long-term brand equity.

This leader will be responsible for portfolio strategy, product lifecycle management, omnichannel marketing, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong collaborator, and results-driven leader with deep experience in medical nutrition, consumer health, or wellness brands.

What You Will Do

Portfolio Strategy & Commercial Execution

  • Develops and owns the Pediatric Portfolio's strategic roadmap and P&L, aligning with company growth objectives and market dynamics.
  • Directs Pediatric Portfolio GTM strategies and cross-functional launch execution, reformulations, and packaging updates.
  • Implements pricing strategy for Pediatric Portfolio in alignment with enterprise framework.
  • Ensures integration of Pediatric Portfolio initiatives into the broader commercial marketing plan.
  • Partners with VP, Commercial Marketing to align Pediatric Portfolio initiatives with enterprise commercial strategy.
  • Represents Pediatric Portfolio in cross-functional leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  • Escalates strategic portfolio decisions and investment recommendations to VP, Commercial Marketing.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor the Senior Brand Manager and Associate Brand Manager.
  • Support diverse hiring and related initiatives to meet company goals.
  • Dedicated to building high-performing teams while also supporting employees' career growth in individual ways.
  • Invites and uses the opinions and perspectives of others.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and development plans to support team growth and accountability.
  • Omnichannel Marketing & Engagement

  • Leads Pediatric Portfolio omnichannel campaign strategy and budget allocation targeting healthcare professionals (HCPs), caregivers, and pediatric consumers.
  • Ensures consistent messaging and brand experience across digital, retail, Amazon, and medical channels.
  • Partners with internal teams to develop tailored content and educational materials.
  • Insights, Analytics & Optimization

  • Use data and insights to inform strategy, track performance, and optimize marketing investments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and audience segmentation to refine targeting and positioning.
  • Financial Management & Forecasting

  • Owns Pediatric Portfolio P&L, including revenue, margin and A&P budget.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Sales to ensure profitability and commercial success.
  • We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a BA / BS in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Has 10+ years of experience in brand management, product marketing, or commercial strategy in healthcare, OTC, or CPG.
  • Has proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Has strong analytical skills and experience with KPI tracking, forecasting, and P&L ownership.
  • Has expertise in omnichannel marketing and GTM strategy.
  • Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Has a passion for mission-driven brands and commitment to Kate Farms' values.

    This position will work in a home / office environment with occasional trips to the corporate office or other meeting locations. Requires 20% travel.

    Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component that together comprise the On-Target-Earnings (OTE).

    $164,500 - $186,000 USD

    For full-time salaried or hourly workers, our total rewards package also include the option to enroll in a company-matched 401k plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents. Employees will also receive a generous PTO benefit with a starting accrual of 15 days per year (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure), two weeks of paid "Refresh" leave, 80 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Kate Farms offers a range of other benefits offered with an emphasis on employee well-being such as paid disability leave, paid parental / pregnancy leave, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), tuition reimbursement, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.
