About The Position

Description :

  • An exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist with Critical Care fellowship training to join a dynamic team at a high-acuity facility in Jackson, MI. This full-time role blends critical care leadership in the CVICU with diverse anesthesia practice, offering professional growth, team collaboration, and a balanced lifestyle.

📋 Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide 8–12 weeks annually of CVICU service, including home call
  • Supervise and collaborate with APPs in managing post-op cardiac and vascular patients
  • Deliver general OR, OB, and healthy pediatric anesthesia services during non-ICU weeks
  • Participate in weekend and call rotations based on ICU coverage
  • Contribute to protocol development and interdisciplinary care coordination
  • Teach and mentor residents and APPs in a collaborative academic environment
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
  • ⏰ Working Hours :
  • Full-time
  • Varied shifts
  • ICU call : Home call
  • OR call : Adjusted proportionally based on ICU time
  • Weekends : Included in rotation

  • Critical care expertise in CVICU or post-cardiac surgical patients

    Job Requirements

    🎓 Qualifications :

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (required)
  • Fellowship-trained in Critical Care Medicine (required)
  • Active Michigan Medical License or willingness to obtain (required)
  • DEA & CSR / CDS (required prior to start)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (required or willing to obtain prior to start)
  • Clean malpractice and license history
  • COVID and flu vaccination required
