Job Summary
Job Summary : Job incumbent is responsible for assisting with Learning and Development needs to include but not limited to assisting with travel authorizations, purchase requests, and maintaining accurate documentation of forms. The incumbent will also assist with preparing materials for workshops and training sessions, replenishing supplies, handling registrations, running errands, and assisting with event setup and breakdown.
Adhere to the TCC Ch'eghwtsen' model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion and empathy.

Representative Duties : Under the general supervision of the Learning and Development Chief Officer :
1. Prepare travel authorizations, purchase requests, and maintain accurate documentation of forms.
2. Assist with scheduling and preparing for meetings, workshops, events and other departmental activities.
3. Fulfill orders, run errands, replenish supplies, and shop for meetings, workshops, events and other departmental activities.
4. Coordinate with other departments and programs for the successful implementation of meetings, workshops, events and other departmental activities.
5. Set-up and breakdown of meetings, workshops, events and other departmental activities.
6. Coordinate and track department travel.
7. Answer and forward any incoming program phone calls, promptly and courteously relay them to the appropriate staff. Provides information to caller as needed. Takes messages and distributes the information in a timely manner.
8. Handle, distribute, and organize incoming and outgoing mail.
Other Responsibilities :
1. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
1. High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Must be a current TANF recipient
3. Must pass background check pursuant to Federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements and State of Alaska background check.
4. Valid Alaska Driver's License with clean driving record and remain insurable under TCC insurance policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
1. Ability to work and take direction from other staff members.
2. Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
3. Ability to process information.
4. Ability to multi-task.
Supervision : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision
Physical demands : Position is sedentary with some walking and standing. Incumbent may be required to lift up to 35 pounds. Incumbent must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
Summation
Summation : This is a full-time temporary position. It is projected to last only up to 1000 hours. This job has high contact with people including but not limited to inter-department TCC staff and other outside agencies, which makes communication and interpersonal skills necessary. The incumbent must be able to prioritize all tasks and meet reporting deadlines. The incumbent must be a self-motivated individual who is able to successfully work in a high public contact position.
