Sales Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in Anchorage. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales team, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and maintaining efficient operations in our showroom and office. This position is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions for their needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Support : Greet customers in the showroom, answer inquiries, and assist them in finding suitable equipment based on their requirements.
- Sales Support : Collaborate with the sales team to prepare quotes, process sales orders, and manage customer accounts.
- Product Knowledge : Stay informed about ESIs product offerings to effectively advise customers and provide accurate information.
- Administrative Tasks : Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining customer records.
- Showroom Maintenance : Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including logistics and service, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Develop Product Knowledge : Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of ESI products, services, and pricing structure.
- Account Management : Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning, organizing, and implementing outside sales strategies.
- Customer Interaction : Answer questions regarding the business and its products, describe merchandise, and explain / demonstrate use, operation, and care.
- Lead Generation : Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
- Needs Assessment : Determine customer needs and propose appropriate solutions, including product development and services.
- Sales Presentations : Prepare and deliver sales proposals / presentations and follow up with key decision-makers.
- Prospecting Activities : Complete scheduled and cold-call prospecting activities to establish first and follow-up appointments with customer decision-makers.
- Market Awareness : Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
- Competition Monitoring : Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, customer satisfaction, etc.
- Customer Complaint Resolution : Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and collaborating with key decision-makers.
- Ongoing Support : Follow procedures to provide ongoing customer support, product maintenance, and service.
- Pricing and Invoicing : Compute sales prices and total purchases, create and provide price quotes and invoices, and receive and process cash or credit payments.
- Travel : Travel as necessary to complete tasks.
- Safety Compliance : Observe health and safety precautions required to protect people and property.
- Other Duties : Perform all other duties as assigned.
