Firefighter / Paramedic (2)

The Town of Longmeadow Fire Department seeks applicants for current and future openings for Non-Civil Service, Full-Time Firefighter / Paramedic positions.

Applicants with any combination of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply :

• Certified Paramedic
• Currently enrolled in a Paramedic training program
• Firefighter 1-2 or firefighting experience / training.
• Basic EMT with firefighting experience with a desire to pursue Paramedic training. (Educational assistance / support for paramedic training may be available).

Successful candidates must be able to pass an extensive medical examination, background check and a physical agility exam. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Within one year of completion of their probation period, all employees shall reside within a sixty minute response time of the Town limits of the Town of Longmeadow, measured in a straight line by an accepted mapping application or software.
