• Experience in an ICU setting
• Ability to manage 3 patients : one ICU and two step-down

Description :

We are seeking an experienced, independent, flexible, and dependable nurse to join our ICU team.

The position involves working night shifts on a 4x12 schedule or 3x12 schedule.

The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 3 : 1, which includes one ICU patient and two step-down patients.

Every weekend or every other weekend commitment is required.

Floating within the scope of practice to meet facility needs is expected.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable accommodating block schedules.

The ICU setting involves a variety of patient diagnoses, including COPD, CHF, DKA, respiratory failure, sepsis, COVID-19, and influenza.

Special procedures may include bedside central line and arterial line placements, bedside intubation, and chest tube placements.

Candidates should be proficient in the use of specialized equipment such as temporary pacers and Hamilton ventilators.

The environment includes interdisciplinary support from teams such as IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

References from previous supervisors within the past two years are necessary.
