Job description

Our client is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive sales and rentals of compact construction equipment across the Southern Illinois market.

This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-focused salesperson with a strong background in equipment or related industries.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and grow business within an assigned territory through customer visits and proactive prospecting.
  • Promote equipment, parts, rentals, and service solutions to maximize customer value.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and present equipment benefits with confidence.
  • Handle the complete sales cycle, from quotes and contracts to order fulfillment.
  • Track sales activities, set goals, and consistently work toward exceeding targets.

Qualifications :

  • 3 to 5 years of proven outside sales experience, preferably in equipment, rental, or construction-related industries.
  • Knowledge of compact or construction equipment strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus; equivalent experience considered.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory, including some overnight stays.
