Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting providing therapy services to medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology units Primary responsibilities are inpatient patient care Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, with start time flexibility up to 8 : 00 am One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required every four weeks, with a corresponding day off during the applicable week Candidates may be assigned to any therapy service line within the hospital as needed No floating to sister facilities is required Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience may be required No on-call required 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible First-time travelers will be considered for this position Primary duties include assessment, documentation, patient and family education, and promoting safety and injury prevention Team members may be utilized within any therapy service line based on facility needs Pre-assignment fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper fit testing or must be shaved Scrub color requirement is black or grey No more than 7 days RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed in the first week of orientation Return staff must wait 1 year after permanent employment before returning as a traveler Allied travelers may remain for 12 months and must take a 6-month break after Hospital is a short-term acute care and teaching facility Parking information and passes will be provided during orientation No medical marijuana cards accepted Requirements Current state physical therapy license required; license required if applicable BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience Strong communication skills and willingness to work with a variety of patient populations Experience in patient assessment, documentation, education, and safety / injury prevention required Pending state license may be accepted depending on state regulations Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-635455.
