What's your day like?

As an Expert-Level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will hold a key position spearheading critical engineering initiatives across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG) and Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG). You will play a pivotal role in leading multi-disciplinary teams focused on requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and project management. Your responsibilities will include advising the Government on innovative technological solutions and changes to system designs based on rigorous analysis.

You will assist in capturing mission requirements, performing systems integration, and conducting various engineering assessments. This position demands a high level of collaboration and communication, as you oversee the work of Senior, Mid, and Junior-level contractors, while ensuring that all activities align with customer needs and expectations. Required Skills and Experience :

  • Active TS / SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Expert-level experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including : DoD / IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Master's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and
  • Software Development Framework.
  • INCOSE Expert Systems engineering Professional (ESEP).
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations :
  • ACSM

  • ASCE
  • ASPRS
  • OGC
  • SAREM
  • USGIF
  • Extensive work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Experience engineering solutions using :
  • Cloud-based technologies

  • Structured and unstructured Big Data
  • Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies
  • Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG / ASG and NRO.
  • Previous NGA and / or NSG / ASG, IC or DoD program / project work.
