The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact for the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut (AOASCC). This position is responsible for managing the front desk area, directing incoming calls and visitors, supporting day-to-day administrative operations, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The receptionist also plays a key role in mail handling, event preparation, and security access coordination.
Located in North Haven, CT. This is a Full Time in Office Position. Monday - Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Answer and manage the central phone line. Assess caller needs and route calls to the appropriate staff or department in a courteous and efficient manner.
Greet and announce visitors, clients, and guests. Provide directions, general information, and support as needed.
Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and faxes. Prepare and process outgoing mail daily. Assist with mailings such as meeting announcements and event invitations. Utilize mail merge to create labels and envelopes for bulk communications.
Maintain master copies of employee and agency forms. Monitor stock of preprinted forms and coordinate reprinting or ordering as needed.
Assemble informational packets for community outreach and track inventory to ensure materials are always available.
Assist with preparation for meetings and events, including room setup (tables, chairs), refreshments, handouts, and materials such as name tags or packets.
Provide clerical support including copying, faxing, filing, and general administrative assistance as directed.
Coordinate with the security alarm company to manage door locking schedules and alarm settings. Create and deactivate employee ID / access badges as needed.
