About The Role
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is focused on Employee Relations activities for the organization and responsible for overseeing the company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. In this role, the person will manage activities related to the employee experience, promote employee satisfaction and foster a positive working environment, support performance management practices, and handle counseling and investigating employee relations matters while adhering to company policies. This role will also contribute regularly to all other aspects of HR. This individual must be an organized leader with the ability to work with different levels of leaders, and lead by example. Must possess considerable knowledge of management-labor relations; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management.
What You Will Do
- Oversee and actively participate in the day to day HR activities across the organization in alignment with the Company's strategic direction
- Serve as HR partner for multiple business units across the field, serve as point of contact for employee relations issues and concerns; manage day to day execution, facilitate in person meetings regularly with employees, and manage administration of all personnel related matters
- Implement and champion HR initiatives, policies, and procedures that support the Company's goals and objectives
- Support management by providing sound human resources advice, counsel, and recommending actions
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction
- Identify ways and continually work on increasing retention and build high performing teams
- Support leadership development and training initiatives
- Ensure fair, thorough, impartial, timely and thorough completion of HR investigations and completion of required documentation / reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local labor laws and regulations, and alignment with company policies and practices
- Maintain up to date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Thoroughly Prepare and Document Reports
Thoroughly prepare and document reports, and documentation related to employee relations activitiesMaintain accurate and confidential employee records related to employee relations issuesSupport and drive process for annual review, preparation and administration of the Company's wage and salary programDevelop processes and tools to measure impact and value of HR initiatives to the organizationAssists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employeesFacilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions between employees and / or management as necessaryManage performance and disciplinary process; provide recommendations, review corrective action forms and ongoing supportDevelop and implement performance improvement plans for employees as neededDesign and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and other related topicsHandles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Director of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources as neededExercise considerable judgment, confidentiality, and discretion during course of employment activityOperate ethically to protect the assets and image of the companyPerforms other duties and responsibilities as per business needAbout You
Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, within the hospitality field preferredMinimum 3 years of Human Resources management experience related to employee relations and complianceIn depth knowledge of city, state, and federal labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practicesExperience working with a majority non-exempt workforceBachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or related fieldStrong leadership, high EQ, and relationship building skillsStrong interpersonal and communications skills including verbal, written, presentation, and listening skillsProven problem solving and conflict resolution abilitiesHigh level of reliability and personal integritySuperior organization skills with ability to oscillate between priorities quicklyCollaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departmentsResults oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlinesProficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Fluent in SpanishAdditional Requirements
