Job Title : Neuro Operating Room Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : RN license required

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS and CNOR preferred

Must-Have :

• Experience with maintaining a sterile field.
• Competence in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Ability to work with various types of patients, including those with neuro-related conditions.

Description :

This position is for a Neuro Operating Room Registered Nurse.

The nurse will be expected to perform duties in a fast-paced operating room environment.

All nurses will complete necessary skills assessments, particularly in maintaining sterile fields.

The unit consists of 11 operating suites with a high volume of surgical cases each month.

RNs may have the opportunity to circulate and scrub during surgeries.

Common procedures include craniotomies, tumor resections, carotid surgeries, and spinal fusions.

Nurses must be prepared to work holiday rotations and follow specific unit policies.

Collaboration with surgical teams and adherence to safety protocols is essential.

Flexibility to float to other surgical units may be required based on background.

This position offers a structured schedule with no weekend or call requirements.

Overall, candidates should be team-oriented and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
