Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Field Service Dispatcher to join our team in Shelby Township, MI. This role is responsible for scheduling and coordinating Customer Service resources, ensuring timely and efficient responses to service requests. The Dispatcher works closely with the Call Center and Customer Service Supervisor to optimize scheduling, improve service delivery, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process internal and external service requests.
- Review scope of work and site requirements with customers prior to scheduling.
- Ensure necessary parts, materials, and tools are dispatched to the worksite.
- Coordinate with Spare Parts and other departments to support proactive planning.
- Update customers and internal systems regarding scheduling changes.
- Dispatch Customer Service Technicians according to customer requirements.
- Follow up with customers post-service to confirm satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Maintain ownership of service requests through completion.
- Collaborate with the Service Supervisor to optimize resource utilization.
- Adhere to the company’s Quality System and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word).Experience with SAP and Salesforce is a plus.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Education & Experience
Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school.Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.Prior customer service experience, including telephone-based customer interaction.
