Radiology Locums Job in California Monday Friday Beginning January Ongoing Assignment Coverage Details : One week every other month for 6 9 months (specific week based on other physician s schedule) Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM Credentialing Timeframe : days Requirements : Board Certified (highly preferred) or Board Eligible California State License Residency Required; No fellowship required Clean malpractice history (Highly Preferred) Ability to perform diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies Must maintain MQSA standards (960 mammography studies interpreted every 24 months) BLS / ACLS and DEA required during credentialing Required Procedures : Mammography PET Breast biopsies Duties : Read studies of all modalities Perform diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies Read PET scans (preferred) Assignment Details : Outpatient Clinic EMR : Cerner Support Staff : Radiology techs, US techs, and other support staff Average Monthly Volumes : Procedures (wire loc, biopsy, etc.) : 13 Screening Mammos : 225 Diagnostic Mammograms : 30 Types of Reads : For the Interventional Radiologist (IR) Perform basic procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsies, drain placements, abdominal drains, suprapubic catheters, and nephrostomy tubes Interpret CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, and MRIs Review radiology studies from the emergency department and inpatient list during the day If uncomfortable with any study, option to f
