2025-26 Assistant Wrestling Coach – North Canyon HS at Paradise Valley Unified School District. Temporary, 1.0 FTE position for the 2025-26 season.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement program activities in accordance with sport rules and regulations.
- Provide supervision of student athletes during all aspects of participation.
- Use sound instructional techniques; promote safety and sportsmanship; serve as a positive role model.
- Assign and guide athletes at varsity, JV / Frosh, or Junior High levels as applicable.
- Assess student athletes and provide feedback on performance and team placement.
- Instruct athletes to develop athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Maintain records (e.g., statistics, consent forms, emergency information, schedules, equipment inventories) to comply with district and state requirements.
- Manage uniforms, equipment, and facilities; ensure a safe environment.
- Monitor academic eligibility and provide intervention as needed to maintain athletic eligibility.
- Teach sport techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics in preparation for competition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the program.
Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.Experience : Job-related experience required.Criminal Background Clearance and other applicable clearances as required.FLSA Status : Non-Exempt.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Adapt to changing work priorities; administer first aid; apply laws, codes, policies, regulations.Organize and communicate information; understand equipment used in activities; injury prevention and treatment protocols.Schedule activities, gather data, work with diverse groups, and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrate leadership, set priorities, and enforce sportsmanlike conduct.Work Environment
The usual physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing / pulling, some climbing and balancing, and varying temperatures. Expected activity distribution : approximately 20% sitting, 40% walking, 40% standing. May include evenings and / or weekends.
