About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Valid state license required; pending licenses accepted with conditions

Certifications : BLS required; WOCN certification highly preferred

EPIC experience required

Ability to work every other weekend

Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

Description :

The role involves providing advanced clinical guidance to the inter-professional team.

The nurse will participate in a variety of activities focused on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include consultation, education, leadership, and direct care for patients with wound, ostomy, fistula, and incontinence needs.

The position includes advocacy for effective management of complex wounds and pressure injuries.

The nurse will conduct consultations and provide direct patient care for new ostomy patients.

Responsibilities also include pre-operative stoma site marking and developing care plans.

The nurse will evaluate innovative wound care products and assist in policy development.

Education for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, both individually and in groups, will be part of the role.

The position requires knowledge of wound vac management and the use of lift equipment for patient positioning.

The position will involve collaboration with various interdisciplinary teams.

Effective communication skills are essential for educating staff and translating complex medical information.

This role aims to enhance the quality of care provided to patients with wound and ostomy needs.
