Responsibilities Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00AM - 7 : 30PM), totaling 36 hours per week Care for patients requiring CPAP / BiPAP and medication titration Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as necessary Uses Epic EMR for documentation and patient care management Weekend shifts required on an every-other-weekend basis No RTO allowed from 2 / 15 / 26 through 2 / 28 / 26 Charge nurse capability required for night travelers Duties include medication titration, IV starts, monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education High-quality nursing care for a diverse PCU patient population First-time travelers are accepted Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers Former employees eligible if away for at least 6 months Current employees of the hospital are not eligible to apply as travelers Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience Current BLS, ACLS, and IV certification required Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing tasks Experience with Epic EMR system Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or charge RN Must have completed fingerprint process as part of compliance Previous travel nursing experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640245.
