Wnto Global Indirect Tax Senior Manager
As the WNTO Global indirect tax (GIT) senior manager, you'll address, research, and consult on complex GIT technical issues for a variety of clients. You'll collaborate with the WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with our tax solution families on identifying risk management issues. From day one, you'll be empowered by great technology, processes, and a collaborative and thoughtful team to continue to extend your technical knowledge, work across new projects, and provide excellent client service, and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include :
- Reviewing documentation and computations for client projects including voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, taxability matrices, and transaction related analysis
- Preparing written tax advice on GIT matters
- Tracking new developments from state and local jurisdictions with an emphasis on covering GIT issues, and generating thought leadership and service opportunities with respect to these developments
- Working with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other federal, international, and state and local tax matters
- Supporting firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of firm professionals and clients in GIT matters
- Developing tools that will be utilized by our firm to provide quality service to our clients
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / universityCPA or JD required; LLM in taxation preferredAt least six years of SALT consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm, with a preference for candidates with experience at a National Tax Office and / or IRS National officeDemonstrated success in tax technical workStrong analytical, organizational, and project management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretationAbility to manage and develop staff, in a highly interactive team environmentAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe base salary range for this position in our Chicago, IL office is between $187,500 to $312,500.
