Job Title : Director of Commercial Property Management and Leasing
Location : Scottsdale, AZ
Compensation : $125,000 – $145,000 annually
Position Overview :
A well-established private real estate investment and development firm is seeking an experienced Director of Commercial Property Management and Leasing to oversee a diversified portfolio of traditional shopping centers and mixed-use development projects. The portfolio totals approximately 2.4 million square feet.
This leadership role is responsible for the full operational, financial, and tenant relationship management of commercial retail properties, as well as involvement in leasing strategy and construction project oversight.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide full oversight of commercial property management, including tenant relations, vendor management, maintenance coordination, and operational excellence
- Manage property budgets, capital improvement projects, and financial performance across assigned assets
- Approve monthly and annual financial statements and present reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Guide tenant transitions, lease assignments, collections, and rent relief documentation
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely delivery of tenant improvements and capital projects
- Conduct regular property inspections and market tours to stay abreast of submarket trends
- Prepare Economic Lease Analyses and support leasing and lease renewal efforts
- Oversee and amend Property Management Agreements as needed
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail commercial property management , with exposure to leasing strategyStrong knowledge of REAs, CAM reconciliations, retail lease negotiation, and document reviewExperience with both local and national retail tenantsProven ability to lead and manage multiple projects and assets simultaneously with a structured, proactive approachExceptional attention to detail, negotiation skills, and financial acumenProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordBachelor's degree required; professional real estate designations such as CPM, CMS, or RPA strongly preferredWork Environment :
